With friends like these… who needs monsters?
TLDR: If you’re looking for a game for a group (7-35 people), you can’t beat Werewolf.
I love this werewolf game. I absolutely love it. The Werewolf game strips everything you could ever want in a game down to the bare minimum. No game pieces, no board, no money, no dice, nothing but your wits and intellect.
It takes less than two minutes to explain the rules. A moderator shuffles the deck and hands out one card to each player. The players secretly look at their roles. Are you a blood-thirsty werewolf, or an innocent villager? The game is on.
Werewolf Game is perfect for big groups
Villagers win if all the werewolves are discovered and eliminated. Werewolves win if all the villagers are devoured. Every “day” the desperate mob tries to kill a werewolf, and every “night” the werewolves strategically eat another villager.
Once you are eliminated, you can’t say another word. You watch silently and helplessly as the carnage unfolds. To tell you the truth, some of my favorite game memories were on nights when I was eliminated early and watched the dwindling forces of good and evil in an epic battle.
Werewolf works best with 10 or more players. I once played with 22 friends. It was amazing, and stories from that night are still told years later.
7-35 players.
Age: 12+
Playable again and again.
Makes your whole brain howl at the moon.
